Set on 5.6 hectares (14 acres) of woodlands and gardens, this Best Western affiliate is one of the finest hotels in the area. Though it looks like a rambling country estate, it was once a series of offices that have been cleverly converted into comfortable bedrooms. Each room is stylish and well furnished, many opening onto panoramic views. The best, albeit most expensive, accommodations are the executive studio suites with a lot of extra space. Guests enjoy free membership in the hotel's health club. The Castle Green also has one of the best pubs, Alexander's, and one of the best restaurants, Greenhouse, in the area. On the downside, the staff could be more cordial.
