This romantic retreat located on a quiet street behind the Hemingway House and within walking distance to the water and the action was built from native pine in the Bahamas in the 1840s and transported by ship to Key West where it was rebuilt in 1889. Fast-forward to 2010 and you have a splendidly renovated, tropical-style inn with turn-of-the-19th-century charm. Rooms are decorated in colorful, tropical decor and have private baths. Most have French doors that open out to a heated pool and Jacuzzi, upstairs sundeck, or lush gardens and courtyard where guests indulge in a delicious champagne continental breakfast. The two-story Havana Suite has a private entrance as well as a kitchenette. A complimentary wine hour takes place nightly.
