Frommer's Review

The Reach, which was closed for the better part of 2006 and 2007 for renovations, is ideally located on a 450-foot private, natural sand beach; it's just a 5-minute walk from the center of the Duval Street action. The guest rooms are large and, at press time, were all being redone in modern tropical decor with the usual trappings of modernity -- wireless Internet, plasma TV, and WebTV. All have sliding-glass doors that open onto balconies, and some have ocean views. A massive array of watersports are available right on the premises, and unlike most area resorts which are small-ish, this one seems infinitely larger and, in many ways, worlds away from the rest of Key West.
