Oulton Hall ReviewA painstakingly restored 1850s Italianate mansion, this hotel offers an atmosphere of pure elegance, from the black-and-white-tiled front entrance and the damask-hung walls of the public rooms with their great crystal chandeliers, to the library with its mahogany wall paneling and window seat. You can enjoy butler service in the drawing room, a drink in the plush red-leather interior of the Calverley Bar, or a stroll through formal gardens re-created from the original 19th-century plans. Most of the well-furnished bedrooms are in the modern wing; the grand suites are in the original house. Bedrooms enjoy views of the well-manicured grounds and championship golf course.
