Frommer's Review
Famed for its outstanding baroque facade, this 18th-century building has a collection of documents, models, paintings, drawings, and sketches that amply covers the history of the Spanish capital. Formerly an orphanage, it's located on the eastern edge of the Malasaña district a short walk up from the Gran Vía. It re-opened in 2005 after 2 years of renovation work.
