It's not all bulls and blood in this, well, monumental venue. For periods of several weeks between November to March, when the air is distinctly cooler and the skies -- for Madrid, that is -- are grayer, a whole new mood takes over when the circus comes to town and, under a giant cover, elephants, clowns, and trapeze artists perform for kids of all ages in the bullfighting arena.
