A traditional no-frills Madrileño restaurant that is very popular with local Chamberí residents. Its flavorsome dishes range from hearty leg of lamb and cocido (stew) to baked besugo (sea bream). The service is down-to-earth efficient. There's a fairly limited wine list, so best to go for a reliable Rioja.
