Members of the extended Laguna family run two of these successful Italian eating spots in Madrid. The first was established 15 years ago on Calle Apodaca and the second (Calle Argensola; tel. 91-308-25-19) followed shortly after. Both feature minimalist Milanese decor, dark furnishings, and a tasty menu highlighted by risottos and homemade pastas -- here it's quite okay to have pasta as a main dish. Tagliatelle with mushrooms is a recommended favorite. For a more substantial repast, you might also consider osso buco or veal parmigiana or choose from the interesting fish selection.
