The Ayre (formerly Fiesta) Gran Hotel Colón offers comfortable and reasonably priced accommodations in twin buildings separated by a small garden close to Parque del Retiro. Accommodations are divided into executive (in the Edificio Europa) and standard rooms (in the neighboring Edificio America), and all rooms have comfortable beds, smart modern decor, and compact bathrooms with stall showers. Some have private balconies. The hotel has an international restaurant, covered garage, and conference room with Wi-Fi for business visitors. One of the original Colón's founders was Manuel Ortega, an interior designer, which accounts for the beautiful stained-glass windows and murals in the public areas.
