Set beside its own charming garden, this classic French-styled hotel is located inside a neoclassical villa built in 1894 for the duke of Santo Mauro. Many original features remain, though the former library is now a gourmet restaurant, Belagna, the ballroom has been transformed into an imposing conference room, and a central vaulted ceiling overlooks an indoor pool. The interior is decorated with rich fabrics and Art Deco accents and furnishings. Accommodations are spacious throughout; choose from studios to duplex suites, all containing bathrooms with tub/shower combos. Each room has a sound system that comes with a wide choice of tapes and CDs, as well as many other lovely details, such as raw silk curtains, Persian carpets, antique prints, and parquet floors. Staff members outnumber rooms by two to one, ensuring impeccable service.
