Frommer's Review
This is one of the most attractive medium-size hotels in Madrid, with plenty of comfort and convenience. Opened in 1947 on an affluent residential street near the center of town, and unchanged in many ways since then, it has a 1930s-style Art Deco facade and a 1940s interior filled with well-upholstered furniture and richly grained paneling. Several public lounges lead off a central oval area, and recent additions include a business center with Wi-Fi. The comfortable rooms vary in size from standard doubles to suites large enough for entertaining, with a small separate sitting area; all have walk-in closets. Bathrooms are decorated in marble or tiles, with either stall showers or tubs.
Facilities:
2 restaurants; bar; salon; business center w/Wi-Fi; room service; babysitting; laundry service; dry cleaning

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
