Frommer's Review
It's a mere trot across the road to the modern Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, and an easy 5- to 10-minute stroll up the tree-shaded Paseo del Prado to the nearby art meccas of the Prado and Thyssen-Bornemisza. Opened on the site of the former Hotel Mercátor in 2006, the Paseo del Arte is noted for its naturally lit modular lounge and comfortable air-conditioned guest rooms and suites, 16 of which are equipped for guests with disabilities. Business visitors have access to a conference room and state-of-the-art Internet facilities, and fitness-minded guests can enjoy the gymnasium. The Trazos restaurant offers buffet breakfasts and traditional a la carte dinners as well as a fixed daily lunch menu. There's a separate section for nonsmokers. The hotel has a garage with 80 parking spaces and is very close to the main Atocha railway station.
