This finely renovated luxury hotel enjoys an unrivalled location just across the road from El Retiro park (ask for a room at the front if you want to enjoy the exceptional views.) It's also only a short stroll from here to Madrid's "golden triangle" of great art museums and Calle Serrano's sophisticated shops. A nationally registered early-20th-century building, the hotel combines magnificent traditional architecture with ultra-elegant modern decor that's notable for its inventive use of glass and marble. Public areas and rooms alike are coolly spacious and furnished with immaculate taste. Modern facilities include a business area with Internet access and staff support, as well as a well-equipped fitness center.
