One of the predominant gay bars of Madrid, a center for gay consciousness-raising and gay cruising (though they say the name refers to automobile driving), this place has probably been visited at least once by every gay male in Castile. There are practically no women inside, but many a hustler looking for a tourist john. It doesn't get crowded or lively until late at night. Open Monday to Friday from 8pm to 3:30am; Saturday and Sunday from 8pm to 4:30am. Beer costs 2.75€ to 3.50€ ($3.40-$4.35).
