Superseding even Plenilunio in size and amenities is this awesome minicity of banks, restaurants, food and fashion shops, and state-of-the-art movie houses (one of them boasting the largest screen in Spain!). Stylishly avant-garde in concept -- it was the first Spanish building to be nominated as Europe's best commercial center in 2009 -- this exotic jet-age "Blue Island" has an innovative design that allows a maximum amount of natural light to illumine it. The center is located on the southern outskirts of town beside the regenerated suburb of Carabanchel.
