This is an amazing discovery not because it's an exceptional place to stay -- it's not -- but because it charges prices the town hasn't seen since the Franco era. A fourth-floor boardinghouse, it's in the heart of town, on a main square directly north of the train station. Some of the rather basic, cramped rooms have excellent views of the Mediterranean and the port of Málaga. Most units have a shower only. No breakfast is served, and the hotel is very light on extras.
