Frommer's Review
A step up from Ibis's usual standard in Europe, this Meknes offering is an extremely good value. Conveniently located between the medina and ville nouvelle, and very well signposted from the outskirts of Meknes, this chain hotel offers no surprises, but the rooms are spacious, modern, clean, and functional. Some rooms look out toward the medina -- a view partly obscured by a popular McDonald's -- while others face inward overlooking the large pool. Surrounded by a nice garden and a plentiful supply of sun lounges, the pool (a rarity at the accommodations in this city) is what lures many to stay here. Within the hotel is a restaurant that serves rather bland lunches and dinners, but offers a pretty good buffet breakfast until noon. Opening onto the pool is a cozy bar, where you can enjoy a quiet drink along with a burger or panini from the snack menu. Note: This has become a popular hotel for both Moroccans and travelers, so it's best to prebook if you can.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
