Meknes Ville Nouvelle

The dining scene in Meknes is certainly no gastronomic adventure. Options are largely restricted to restaurants offering Moroccan or French/Italian cuisine, with the widest choice of locations being in the ville nouvelle. As I find throughout most of Morocco, the highlight of eating out in Meknes, for me, is the postmeal mint tea or coffee. Great people-watching cafes are located in the medina on place el Hedim or on avenues Mohammed V and Hassan II in the ville nouvelle.
