Review of Memphis Zoo & AquariumTeton Trek, opened in 2009, is an exhibit that showcases the wildlife of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. Grizzly bears, elk, grey wolves, sandhill cranes, and trumpeter swans are featured in this addition, located in the zoo's Northwest Passage area. Polar bears, seals, and sea lions also inhabit this particular nook. Elsewhere, a pair of adorable panda bears from China are top draws at this great zoo. Built to resemble an ancient Egyptian temple, the zoo's entry is covered with traditional and contemporary hieroglyphics. The attraction also includes a 5-acre primate habitat, an exhibit of nocturnal animals, and an extensive big-cat area with habitats that are among the best zoo exhibits in the country. Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
