Frommer's Review
Located in one of East Memphis's upscale shopping plazas, this big restaurant and oyster bar is a merger of contemporary and traditional decor and cuisine. The menu focuses primarily on seafood (and so does the art on the walls), with contemporary renditions of Southern favorites predominating. Three varieties of fresh oysters on the half shell are available. If you don't opt for the oysters, consider the crab and crawfish cakes with lemon-fennel remoulade or the oyster and artichoke soup. For an entree, the low-country shrimp and grits is a natural, or for a richer and less traditional dish, try the grilled pompano with crawfish beurre blanc. Entrees are served a la carte, so you'll need to pick a few dishes from the side-orders list, which reads like the veggie list in a traditional meat-and-three restaurant -- warm blue-cheese slaw, grilled asparagus, and fried grit soufflé. The lunch menu is light on entrees other than sandwiches but does have plenty of interesting appetizers, soups, and salads.
