In a decidedly dingy juke-joint setting off the beaten path downtown sits this franchise of the legendary Gus's in Mason, Tennessee. Black and white, young and old, hip and square -- they and every other demographic all converge here for spicy-battered chicken, beans, slaw, and pies.
