Trendy, contemporary styling is not something one often associates with the tradition-oriented South, which is what makes this upscale downtown B&B so unique. Each of the rooms is boldly decorated, in solid colors ranging from fire-engine red to peaceful periwinkle. Other rooms are done in rich, subtle earth tones and traditional furnishings. Most rooms have interesting modern lamps, and many have kilim rugs. The rooms vary in size from large to huge. Call ahead with your grocery list, and they'll have the fridge stocked for your arrival (for an added fee). Lots of interesting contemporary art further adds to the hip feel of this inn. Talbot Heirs is located right across the street from The Peabody Memphis hotel and only a few doors down from the trendy Automatic Slim's Tonga Club, which inspired this B&B's styling.
