There's no more elegant place in Memphis for a drink, but be sure you drop in well after the crowds -- who gather to watch the Peabody ducks do their daily march -- have dispersed, usually shortly after 5pm. Piano music is featured in the evenings. If you're a middle-aged or older traveler with refined tastes and an appreciation of historic, Old South charm, you'll feel right at home relaxing here with a glass of bourbon or merlot.
