Frommer's Review
The darling of a media-hip crowd and sundry celebrities, this late-night eatery and disco is on the see-and-be-seen circuit. The food is not the best in the city, but it's invariably good, prepared with fresh ingredients. Try the Tafelspitz with vegetables, the favorite dish of the Emperor Franz Josef of neighboring Austria, as well as an array of other courses inspired by recipes from Asia or the Mediterranean. The vegetable stir-fries here are superb, served with various tomato and curry sauces. The potato gnocchi is another hearty, filling treat. An "all American" barbecue is often served in the restaurant's beer garden, and the chef also whips up a mean chili con carne. The lounge up front is in a minimalist sci-fi style, and the restaurant itself is more traditional with wooden tables and bistro chairs.
