Frommer's Review
The interior of King's Hotel (a 4-min. walk from the Hauptbahnhof) sports the most traditional Bavarian decor of any of the many government-rated four-star hotels in Munich. The seven-story building looks, from the outside, like a modern town house, but inside, carved headboards, flowered fabrics, and rich paneling offer a pleasant contrast to the 20th-century anonymity of the area around the city's main railway station. Built in 1987, the hotel was named after a German family that prides itself on the English spelling of its name. Some suites have tiny kitchens, and almost all units have well-kept bathrooms with showers.
