Frommer's Review
The Byron was one of the first hotels in town to attempt to add individual charm and creature comfort to a pleasant location, and has since been frequently redecorated. It's almost impossible to stay here in July or August without a reservation, especially on weekends, when the entire hotel can be taken over by Athenians. The hotel is in a quiet, breezy location overlooking the Church of Agiou Spiridona, a short but steep hike from the main plateia. Sitting rooms and guest rooms contain nice bits of Victoriana, as well as modern conveniences. The cheapest rooms are quite small with no view; usually, for another 15€ ($20), you'll can get a view of Nafplion -- and enough space that you won't feel the burden of togetherness with your roommate.
