Hôtel Excelsior ReviewThe Excelsior's ornate corbels and stone pediments rise grandly a few steps from the railway station. This much-renovated 19th-century hotel has modern decor, most of it from the mid-1990s, and rooms outfitted in Provençal tones have seen a lot of wear but are still comfortable. Furnishings are functional and conservative. A garden and the beach are a 20-minute walk through the residential and commercial heart of Nice.
