Hôtel Beau Rivage ReviewThis hotel across from the beach is famous for having housed both Matisse and Chekhov during its heyday around the turn of the 20th century. The interior has a bland but tasteful modern decor and a staff that seems to make a point of appearing overworked regardless of how few guests there might be. The soundproof rooms are vaguely Art Deco and small. For dining, Le Bistrot du Rivage is relatively formal and very appealing. Its specialties are meats and fish prepared on a large grill.
