Frommer's Review
This place is noticeably a bit less animated and raucous, and just a bit classier and perhaps a bit less glittery and flashy, than its counterparts within Sandals. Most of the clients here are married, and many are on their honeymoons. Everything is in pairs, even the chairs at night by the moon-drenched beach. Some guests slip away from the resort, which is an 18-minute drive (8km/5 miles) east of town, to Couples's private island to bask in the buff. (A shuttle boat transports visitors offshore to this beautiful little island with a fine sandy beach, a bar, and a pool. Security guards keep the gawkers from bothering guests here.)
The bedrooms have either a king-size bed or two doubles, pleasantly traditional furnishings, and a patio fronting either the sea or the mountains. Good-size bathrooms have a shower/tub combination. For a chain all-inclusive, the cuisine is above average.
