The Peabody Orlando ReviewThe five Peabody mallards continue to march into the main lobby fountain each and every morning at 11am and then back out at 5pm, accompanied by John Philip Sousa's "King Cotton March," and are only a small unique part of the appeal of this very upscale and service-oriented hotel. If your budget allows, you won't be disappointed with a stay here. Primarily a business and convention destination, the Peabody also appeals to adults looking for an ultraclassy hotel that provides top-of-the-line service, amenities, and atmosphere (though families with older children accustomed to the finer things in life will find the array of recreational offerings and spacious accommodations to their liking as well). Combining with the main hotel's classical elegance and sophisticated decor is the visually stunning Peabody Tower (a $450-million addition that added 870 guest rooms and suites in late 2010), the transition between the two buildings surprisingly seamless -- a particularly impressive feat given the Tower's chic retro-inspired decor and Sinatra-esque ambience. In addition, the tower brings with it a full-service spa and athletic club, salon (yet to open at press time), gourmet deli, coffee bar, Napa restaurant and bar (with patios overlooking the meticulously landscaped grotto-style pool, and sophisticated piano lounge (the Rocks, which evokes the Rat Pack days). Rooms sleep up to five (though suites are available) and are especially well appointed with high-tech luxe amenities such as 42-inch LCD TVs and mini LCD TVs in the bathroom mirrors. Those on the west side of the main hotel (sixth floor and higher) and the west end of the Tower offer distant views of Disney and its fireworks displays, while the remaining tower rooms (10th floor and higher) offer impressive after-dark views of International Drive. Note: Dux (once the hotel's signature restaurant) is now used only for private dining, and the B-Line Diner now sports a more contemporary yet diner-inspired decor. Self-parking is once again available, in the new multi-story parking garage. Facilities: Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip.

| 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
