Bohemian Hotel Celebration ReviewOnce as picturesque as the Disney-created town that surrounds it, the Bohemian Hotel Celebration (previously the Celebration Hotel) no longer exudes its signature old-world Florida charm and elegance. Instead, it now reflects an artistic Bohemian-inspired ambience, the product of a recent renovation (though its transition seems somewhat incomplete and, in my opinion, misses the mark). The public areas, once elegant yet warm and inviting, are now accented with dramatic flowing curtains, trendy mismatched furnishings, and an eclectic collection of avant-garde artwork. Select areas, in fact, are quite stunning -- in particular, the outdoor porch near the entryway, where white floor-to-ceiling draperies and chic sit-upons combine with brilliant red handcrafted chandeliers, and the back porch, where trendy sectional seating and unique light fixtures create an inviting space, with the lake as a backdrop. Rooms, which are stark and out of place by comparison, boast views of either the lakefront or the Marketplace -- both of which are postcard perfect. Taken as a whole, however, the intended appeal is somewhat lost. By definition, the addition of "Bohemian" to the hotel's name is meant to evoke thoughts of an alternative, free-spirited, and unconventional atmosphere, but some tweaking is needed to better pull off the concept. The upscale ambience (which remains intact) continues to cater to adults, especially those seeking a quiet romantic getaway. Now part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, a portfolio of independently owned luxury hotels and resorts, the Bohemian offers guests the perks and privileges associated with the Marriott brand while maintaining its individuality and independence. One major drawback: You'll have to deal with the traffic on U.S. 192 to get almost anywhere. Facilities: Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Please be sure to confirm all rates and details directly with the companies in question before planning your trip.

| 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
