Frommer's Review

Just yards down from the front of the Duomo, this was ostensibly the top board-rated four-star hotel in town until the much friendlier Piccolomini opened up. The public spaces' modern art and a few Victorian chairs and antique dressers in the smallish rooms liven things up a bit, but the relatively high price tag and consistently surly service put me off. Although the location is key, it's still disappointing that, less than a block from the cathedral, only a few rooms are blessed with a sliver view of the facade; the breakfast terrace has a better view of it.
