Restaurants

For those who don't wish to dine in-house, there's a small but vibrant restaurant scene in Ouarzazate offering a good selection of international and Moroccan cuisine. Most are located close together at the east end of avenue Moulay Rachid, although there's more atmosphere on nearby rue de la Poste and avenue Mohammed V. No matter where you dine, however, make your way to the pedestrian-only rue du Marché after dinner for the evening promenade, where you'll see Ouarzazate families out and about, many of them sampling the best ice cream in town at Patisserie-Glacier des Habouss on place al Mouahidine. It's open daily from 6am to 10pm and is also a bakery, offering a good spot for a pastry and coffee/tea breakfast. Paradis Jus de Fruits, at the west end of the pedestrian section on rue du Marché, serves delicious freshly squeezed juices daily from 9am to 9pm.
