Frommer's Review
About 10km (6 miles) north of Palermo, this is one of the better restaurants in the region. Named after the four amici (friends) who opened it in the 1970s, it features an air-conditioned dining room and a gazebo-like structure that rises from a lush garden. A meal here is an event for many Sicilians, and a reservation (especially for the garden) might be hard to get. The antipasti, rich in marinated vegetables and grilled fish, are loaded onto a buffet table. The pastas tend to be strong, aromatic, and laced with such flavors as anchovies, fresh basil, and sardines. Grilled swordfish, calamari, and octopus are also a savory kettle of goodies. The house wine is redolent with the flavors and sunshine of southern Italy.
