For devout Catholics visiting from around the world, this store represents a treasure-trove of church-related finery (or iconography, depending on your point of view). It's staffed by an international bevy of nuns, all in white habits, all of them members of the Paoline Piedice (Pious Disciples of the Divine Master) order. Inventories -- some of them incredibly valuable -- are usually displayed behind glass in a style that may remind you of a museum. You'll see chalices, monstrances, and medallions -- some made of gold, others encrusted with gemstones -- as well as some of the most gorgeous liturgical robes in Italy.
