This is the top hotel in town, and it has the best location as well -- just steps from the entrance to Petra National Park. The public areas of the hotel seem to have been painted and furnished by master craftsmen from Cairo, Fes, and Marrakech; the dinner and lunch buffets are the best in town; and there's a wood-paneled library with reading material about Petra and Jordan. On the roof garden, guests can meet in the evenings and talk over their adventures amid the kind of camaraderie you seldom find in hotels of this class. The guest rooms have the usual array of amenities; some are equipped for travelers with disabilities.
