Frommer's Review
This beautiful top-quality resort, built in 1999, is an exotically designed, low-rise complex of arches, covered passageways, and vine-shaded terraces that create the feeling of a traditional Middle Eastern khan, or traveler's inn. There are large swimming pools and mineral baths, beautiful stretches of Dead Sea Beach, and an architectually striking spa and fitness center offering a large variety of therapeutic, massage, and beauty treatments. Guest rooms are lovely and comfortable, with vistas of the mountains or of the Dead Sea; some are equipped for guests with disabilities. The restaurants here are all up to the Swiss Mövenpick chain's high standard of excellence, but the generous dinner buffet ($21) is very worthwhile. You can arrange 3- to 7-night packages that include full board and spa treatments. Discount room rates can run as low as $110 for a double with breakfast.
