Locals flock here more for the convivial atmosphere and the easy-on-the-budget prices than for creative cuisine. An in-town favorite since 1976, the Press Room likes to boast that it was the first in the area to serve Guinness stout, so it's appropriate that the atmosphere is rustic Gaelic charm. On cool days, a fire burns in the woodstove, and quaffers flex their elbows at darts amid brick walls, pine floors, and heavy wooden beams overhead. Choose your meal from a basic bar menu of inexpensive selections, including a variety of burgers, fish and chips, stir-fries, and salads.
