Frommer's Review
This was once a rectory, built in 1863, and the furnishings reflect that use and period. You'll find secretaries embellished with marquetry, Oriental rugs, and wide-ranging Victoriana, with furnishings and oddments executed in sub-styles from bumptious Rococo Revival to massively elegant Eastlake. Traces of its tenure as a boardinghouse for students have been expunged. Families or longer-term visitors may be interested in the apartment across the street. Some rooms have wet bars. Unlike downtown hotels, rates are lower during the week but higher on weekends, especially those involving events at Brown and RISD.
