Frommer's Review
High atop the north end of the island above the modern city, with the sea visible on two sides, stand the remains of the ancient Rhodian acropolis. This is a pleasant site to explore leisurely and enjoy a picnic, with plenty of shade available. The restored stadium and small theater are particularly impressive, as are the remains of the Temple of Pythian Apollo. Even though only several pillars and a portion of the architrave stand in place, they are provocative and pleasing, giving loft to the imagination.
