Unlike Baños, Riobamba is not exactly renowned for its nightlife -- your best bet is to venture to and around the eastern end of León Borja, where there are a handful of bars and discothèques, mainly frequented by locals and principally open on the weekends. If clubbing is your style, check out the town's largest disco, La Romeo, on León Borja (no phone). Vieja Guardia, on E. Flor 40-43 and Zambrano (tel. 03/2940-735), is also well established and a pretty popular bar-disco. Or head to Ronny's, at Nueva York 16-45 and Alvaredo (tel. 03/2966-683). All blast out a variety of Latin, reggaetón, pop, rock, and electronic tunes. The best laid-back bar for drinks is Pizzería San Valentín. Karaoke-lovers should check out Amigos, at Primera Constituyente and Cuba (tel. 03/2941-595).
