Frommer's Review
This hike follows the Roaring River through terrain dotted with ponderosa pine. Along the way you can see all too plainly the damage done by a massive flood that occurred when a dam, which has since been removed, broke in 1982, killing three campers. At the higher elevations, there are scenic views of Mummy Mountain. The trail begins at an elevation of 8,540 feet and climbs another 2,249 feet.
