Adjacent to Rocky Mountain National Park, Winding River is a good choice for campers seeking the forest experience of a national park-like campground, but with hot showers, full RV hookups, and all the other amenities of a commercial campground. In addition, Winding River offers an abundance of activities, ranging from horseshoes to horseback riding, plus hayrides, ice-cream socials, and chuck wagon breakfasts. There are also a petting zoo, playground, convenience store, and a self-serve laundry. In addition to campsites, there are a variety of cabins.
