Frommer's Review
Family-owned and -operated, Café Trang is known for serving some of the best Vietnamese food in the state since 1987. The restaurant now also offers Chinese dishes -- mostly Cantonese with some Vietnamese influences. Vietnamese paintings grace the walls; and two large aquariums add to the vibe. The menu is packed with literally hundreds of dishes. A popular vegetarian specialty is the fried bean curd with grilled onions and crushed peanuts, served with rice papers, a vegetable platter, and peanut sauce. Since you have to pick just one, the spicy Bun Ga Xao (rice vermicelli noodles with sautéed chicken and lemon grass, served with grilled onions and peanuts) is a favorite. Beer and wine are available.

Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
