Crown Burgers ReviewThis isn't your average burger joint. In-the-know locals say that charbroiling makes these the city's best fast-food burgers. The unexpected decor evokes a European hunting lodge, with wall sconces, chandeliers, and a stone fireplace. Don't be fooled, however; while Crown is something of an upscale fast foodery, you still order at the counter, wait for your number to be called, and pick up your paper-wrapped food yourself. The minichain's signature burger is a cheeseburger piled with pastrami; the menu also offers a variety of other burgers, beef burritos, hot pastrami sandwiches, steak sandwiches, gyros, fishburgers, fries, onion rings, and more. Additional Salt Lake City locations include the original location at 377 E. 200 South (tel. 801/532-1155) and 118 N. 300 West (tel. 801/532-5300). No alcohol is served. | 3 stars | Frommer's Exceptional |
Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
