Frommer's Review
Archibald's is housed in a restored 1877 flour mill that's listed on the National Historic Register. In each booth is a picture and brief discussion of one of Archibald Gardner's 11 wives. Menu items here range from American standards -- burgers, top sirloin steak, or salmon -- to more creative fare, such as fried green tomatoes with creamy salsa. Heartily recommended dishes include the halibut and chips, or the ginger chicken salad -- grilled chicken and almonds over lettuce, with olives, green onions, mushrooms, snow peas, and a sesame-ginger dressing. Beer and wine are available.
