Café Cancun throws a great party. Salvador's most popular dance club with the 25- to 40-year-old crowd, Café Cancun offers great Mexican food, world music, and lots of fiesta. DJs keep people on their feet with salsa, merengue, mambo, forró, and "oldies" from the '70s and '80s up to the latest Brazilian hits. If you want to eat, arrive early before the place gets too happening. Open Tuesday through Saturday 9pm to 2am (later on weekends); the DJs usually start around 10pm.
