Traditional Tyrolean dishes are served along with mugs of the local brew, Weiniger, in a vaulted stone cellar tavern. The restaurant is comfortable, the food is uncomplicated but made with high quality ingredients, and the service is friendly and efficient. Kids are also welcome; if they're toddlers, high seats are provided for them. When the chef is asked about his specialties, he says, "All my dishes are special." An array of fresh fish and such classics as Wiener schnitzel are served along with an array of food that Tyroleans have been eating for years. You can drop in for a snack or a full meal. Portions, such as sausages, roast pork, baked ham, and dumplings, are large and will satisfy the trencherman in women and men alike. The bread is often exceptionally good, including honest-to-God pretzels.
