Hotel Jedermann ReviewSet within a quiet, tree-lined residential neighborhood less than 1km (1/2 mile) north of Salzburg's medieval core, this is a respectable and decent pension that has received favorable recommendations from Frommer's readers. The building was constructed as a spacious private home in the 1930s, and today it remains home to the Gmachl family, its owners and managers. Public areas contain soothingly old or old-fashioned furnishings that create a comfortable atmosphere. Rooms, last renovated in 2002, have modern furniture and good beds. Breakfast is the only meal served. Facilities: Note: This information was accurate when it was published, but can change without notice. Frommer's ranks every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment it reviews for quality, value, service, amenities, and special features using a star-rating scale, an expression of the strong compare-and-contrast opinions that are a brand hallmark.
Other ratings provide stars based primarily on price and amenities; the Frommer's star rating is meant to quantify the kind of intangible, experiential elements that help travelers make informed decisions.
The "baseline" recommendation is zero stars--every hotel, restaurant, attraction, shop, and nightlife establishment that Frommer's chooses to review is recommended; otherwise, we simply wouldn't include it.
