Hotel Amadeus

The walls and foundations of this government-rated three-star, four-story hotel date from the 15th century, but much of what you'll experience today is a post-millennium improvement. The quietest rooms are those overlooking the rear, with views of the graveyard where Mozart's wife is buried. Rooms are pleasant and decorated with reproductions of country-Austrian furniture. Breakfasts are generous; the staff is helpful. The building's ground-floor cafe, the Amadeus, serves drinks and bistro-style food throughout the day and evening.
